DecksMD 1.9.9
Released 17 May 2026
Changes
Open the flashcard manager in a tab
- New "Flashcard manager display mode" setting alongside the existing review-mode toggle. Set it to "New tab" and the manager opens as a workspace leaf instead of a modal — drag it to a sidebar, a bottom panel, or pop it out to a separate window.
- Existing installs keep the modal behavior; switch it on per-device when you want it.
- Applies to all entry points: the "Open flashcard manager" command, the manager button in the deck list, and the "edit" action on a custom deck.
Already-selected cards stay on top when editing a manual custom deck
- When you open the manager to edit a manual deck, the cards already in the deck cluster at the top of the list instead of scattering through it by due date. Easy to confirm at a glance what's in the deck without paging through.
- Within the pinned group and the rest, the column sort you pick still applies — click "Front" or "Last reviewed" and each group reorders independently.
- Pinning is frozen on the original set when editing starts, so checking or unchecking rows doesn't make them jump under your cursor. Search still overrides the order with relevance ranking.
