Decks 2.0.2 — better AI generation

A follow-up to 2.0 focused on the AI generator: keep generating without losing your work, pick models from a list, open it in a tab, plus a round of readability fixes. AI features stay off until you add your own provider key in Settings → AI.

Keep generating after saving

The prompt box no longer disappears once you save. Generate a batch, save it, and keep going — newly generated cards are added to the list instead of replacing it, and already-saved cards are marked and excluded from the next save so you never write duplicates. After the first save the generator switches to append mode and auto-selects the deck you just created, so follow-up batches land in the same deck.

Use your cards as context

A new toggle in the prompt box (next to the attach buttons) feeds the cards generated so far back to the model, so a follow-up round avoids repeating them. Your typed prompt always comes last, so it stays in charge.

Pick a model from a list

The Model field is now a dropdown of current models per provider (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), with a Custom… option for any model id not listed. Defaults were refreshed to current-generation models.

Open the generator in a tab

A new AI generator display mode setting opens the generator in a workspace tab instead of a modal — draggable to sidebars, bottom panels, or separate windows. It collapses to a single pane when the tab is narrow, just like the modal does on small screens.

Fixes & polish

• The Generate with AI button is now disabled while AI features are off, and updates live when you toggle the setting.
• Enable AI features moved to the top of the AI settings block.
• Error messages in the generator are now readable (previously a blank red bar) and long provider errors scroll instead of filling the panel.
• Selecting a model no longer clears the rest of the settings tab.
• The Save button in profile and deck-config dialogs is legible again across themes.
• Fixed a duplicated label in the Simplified Chinese translation.
