Commands

Open the command palette (Ctrl/Cmd + P) and type DecksMD to see every command. They’re grouped below by what you’ll reach for most often. You can also bind any of them to a hotkey in Settings → Hotkeys.

CommandWhat it does
Show flashcards panelOpens (or focuses) the main DecksMD panel — the deck tree with your Files, Tags, and Custom decks. Same as the brain icon in the ribbon.
Open review modalOpens the deck list ready to start a review session.
Open flashcard managerOpens the flashcard manager — the searchable table of every card, where you build custom and filter decks.
Generate flashcards with AIOpens the AI generator to draft cards from a topic or your notes. Requires an API key.
Create image occlusion at cursorPick a vault image, insert an image-occlusion block at the cursor, and open the studio to draw masks. An editor command — run it from inside a note.

Handy when you’re learning the plugin or want something to review right away.

Create test deckCreates a getting-started sample deck (with a template showcase) so you can start reviewing immediately.
Create canvas test deckCreates a sample canvas deck.
Create demo exam deckCreates a demo deck tagged for the Exams profile so you can try an exam.
CommandWhat it does
Import from Anki (.apkg)Imports an Anki export — decks, cards, media, and review history. See Import & export.
Migrate from Spaced Repetition pluginBrings cards over from the Spaced Repetition plugin.
CommandWhat it does
Force full resync (re-parse every deck)Re-parses every deck from scratch, ignoring the modified-time shortcut. Use it if a deck ever looks out of sync with its file.
Clean up orphaned cards (no deck)Removes cards whose source deck was deleted. Reports how many it pruned.
Show release notesOpens the release notes for the current version.
